My mother built this cake for Avery while we were up in Michigan over Memorial Day weekend.
A cute heart shaped chocolate cake with homemade frosting? It was perfect!
And like all food, it took Avery some time to warm up to eating it.
But warm up she did!
She even donned some war paint!
And she put on quite the show for the Bradleys when they Skyped with us.
And would it really be a one year old birthday if there weren't some tears shed at the end of it? I didn't think so.
