Daddy Love

Is there anything more precious than the relationship between a father and daughter?
Haha, alright, maybe this picture really isn’t the BEST at depicting the “warm fuzzies” between Kyle and Avery. :) Perhaps this is a little better.
Aren't they cute? (And don't you love Avery hooking her lip with her finger?) It is awesome seeing these two together! Whether it’s on the dinner table,
or on the floor,
or getting Avery ready for a bath,
or checking to make sure she is still breathing,
or soothing her when she gets fussy,
or providing her a comfortable and furry place to lay out,
or toting her around on his shoulder, (Avery LOVES to be like this)
I know that my daughter will never doubt how her father feels about her.
Heck, she even has a shirt telling her how he feels.
And I’m pretty sure that dimpled half-smile explains how she feels about him too.

Man, too bad I wasn’t on the ball and posted this for Father’s Day! I mean…this is for next year’s Father’s Day…which is showing how ON the ball I am…are any of you buying that?
Yeah, I’m not either. Oh well, Happy Reminder of the memory of Father’s Day!
(Side note: did anyone notice the changing mat on the table and the dinner on the floor in the first couple of pictures? Maybe I should work on reversing that. Or add a changing table to my list of “upgrades” for the future)

Bath time Avery

One of my favorite things to do is give Avery a bath.
And one of her favorite things to do is get a bath.

Even though she lost most of her hair when she got her first bath at the hospital, she still loves getting her hair washed. And honestly, what girl doesn’t like having her hair done? Her sponge baths were fun.

But really, the fun began after her cord fell off. It took 11 days, but Avery loves plunging into the tub (Err..a nice infant size pink bucket that was cost friendly.)

Here are some pictures of her first bath. She pretty much slept through the whole thing. The water really calms her down. Maybe we have a swimmer on our hands.

Here's Avery with her token "Avery face."

I think she is going to have curly hair!

I've got a new way to walk

Since it is a struggle for our household to get up and moving at a decent hour of the day (there may or may not have been a day that it took until 6:00 at night to get everyone showered and presentable…) I haven’t really left the house a whole lot.

That is until we introduced Avery to Roger.

I actually just made up that name, and no we don’t actually call the stroller anything but stroller. That doesn’t, however, diminish the fact that I love our stroller and am very excited to get it out for jogging once I get cleared at my 6 week appointment. But for now, I will settle for my exercise consisting of “racing to get a burp cloth before baby spit up covers my one of four Church outfits that I can squeeze into” to 45 minute walks with Kyle, Avery, and Roger (I kind of like it now. Maybe because it kind of rhymes with stroller. What's that you say? It doesn't? Alright fine!)

Our first walk a week after she was born.
