Not Creative

I came across this the other day and it was too good not to share.

The Bathing Suit

I don't know if it is legitimate to include someone else's blog post on your own, but her creativity was too good not to share.

Enjoy!

Rice Cereal

At Avery's 4 month check-up we were told to start feeding her rice cereal. Avery's weight is hanging out around the 5% for her age, so the pediatrician wants us to go in monthly to weigh her.

So, we have diligently tried to feed her. She wears it as a beard mostly, but I think I've heard her swallow 5 times.

This last appointment Avery had a gained a pound! Yay!

Unfortunately, so did the rest of the pediatric population, so Avery is still at the 5% weighing in at 11 lbs 14.5 oz.  Kyle came to this appointment as well, and the pediatrician said, "Well, your daughter is small, but now I see that Dad is skinny. And you aren't big..."

Yeah...as you can imagine, I don't remember anything she said after that...

It's kind of like when people say, "Oh yeah! Kyle is just so nice and you are...just...so... funny..."

Man, it's a tough world out there. Good thing I have my not-big-and-funny self to keep me going! :) And of course my small daughter and skinny husband!

Then and Now

Do any of you ever take a step back and think about how your life once was and what it has become now? I'm a huge fan of examining what I am doing and who I am becoming as a person. It typically leads to a mini "life crisis" but some needed changes take place and I get better. At least, until the next mini crisis comes...

However, when I reflect on how Avery has changed, it's nothing but exciting! Here's a sample of what Avery was like 25 days after she was born.

Wow, she is just so fresh! It's crazy to remember how exciting every little facial expression was!

Now here's Avery 140 days after she was born (this being last night.)

She's growing up so well and so fast! It motivates me to make sure I'm becoming a better person (dare I say, "Becoming a [better] Bradley"?) and using my time to develop myself. I mean if my baby can go from barely keeping her eyes open and holding her head up to a rolling, giggling, teeth growing machine in 4 1/2 months, what can I do as an adult?

I mean, I already have the rolling, giggling, teeth growing part down. What's left? :)

Maybe raising a human being to do those things. I guess I better get working on some new aspects of my life to teach Avery. I don't know how much more I have to offer after hair growing!

A new pastime

Bath time is one of my favorite times of the day with Avery. But, as cool as it was before, it just got cooler.

Maybe this makes me a terrible mother, but Kyle is laughing as hard as me in the video, so at least I'm in good company.

Seriously, I think people have kids just for entertainment purposes. Man, I love this girl!
