Oh...it has been too long...

Alright, here's the skinny.

I love blogging. Seriously, I really do. I'm slightly ashamed of that (maybe because I feel presumptuous in assuming that people are interested in my family's life. Or maybe because it's one of those stereotypical hobbies women my age and in my situation do...But presumptuous/stereotypical or not, I still love doing it. So I'm just going to keep on keepin' on!)

The problem is, I LOATHE catching up when I take a break.

So in the effort to try and get me back into the swing of things, I'm going to give you two highlights on each person in our family. And since 99% of our pictures on our camera are of Avery and Sawyer (we really need to broaden the realm of our photographs,) you will see some cute pictures of them playing in the sand interspersed in there.

Ready?

We are officially moved in to our townhome here in Bloomington, Indiana. (read: all boxes are unpacked and items are up on the wall.)

Kyle has begun orientation for his PhD in OB/HR at Indiana University. (read: he is already making a plan to get tenure...he is one tenacious guy, especially when you consider that the school year has not even begun.)

296

Avery is a lover of nursery at church! YEA! (read: she doesn't scream, cry, go into full on "the world is ending" mode anymore...It is heavenly!)

313

Sawyer said his first word! (read: he says "eyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy" when he waves. It's good enough in my book to count as "Hey" and is ridiculously cute.)

299

I'm figuring out a running routine up here. (read: I'm learning how to run hills! Our house is surrounded by rolling roads, so there's no escaping them...it'll make me a better woman...maybe.)

335

Kyle read the entire Hunger Games series in the last month. (read: in less than two weeks...sure he's some four years late from the real fans, but he loved the books. And I'm convinced he has a man crush on Peeta.)

297

Avery sleeps in a toddler bed. (read: she does wonderfully at night. Naps, however, have completely gone out the window. Too much freedom and too much imagination to keep that girl in bed during the day. If she gets one nap a week, we are lucky.)

327

Sawyer has slept from 6:00 PM-6:45 AM the last 7 nights. (read: I've tried to make it sound like he's been sleeping through the night before, but truthfully he was still getting up in the middle of the night to nurse. He would fall right back to sleep after he ate, so I started counting it. But, for the first time in 10 months, Sawyer and I are getting non-disrupted sleep. It is all kinds of magical.)

300

I am toying with the idea of returning back to work. (read: I've sent in a few applications to the hospital here. I'm really excited and slightly terrified at the same time. We'll see what happens...)

315

And that, my friends, is the latest and greatest on us.

Now, go visit the beach! All these sandyfaced pictures having me itching to enjoy the last bit of summer!
